Cold-pressed (extra virgin) olive oil reduces the risk of any type of cancer by 31%, according to an evaluation of 45 studies by the University of Athens.
Statement of the study:
According to an evaluation of no less than 45 studies, virgin or cold-pressed olive oil can reduce the risk of any type of cancer by 31%. Olive oil is known to be one of the most important sources of monounsaturated fatty acids, which are known to be good for the body.
A high content of antioxidants can therefore contribute to cancer prevention.
A balanced diet helps to limit the progression of cancer, and the positive effects are most evident in people who regularly consume extra virgin olive oil.
The benefits and properties of olive oil for our body are obvious: it helps in the prevention of degenerative diseases, is excellent for fighting oxidative stress and free radicals, and is a source of essential fatty acids. But one of the most common characteristics that leaves everyone speechless stands out: the anti-cancer property.
Evo oil (evo – extra virgin olio d’oliva) is rich in polyphenols, which are nothing more than natural substances with antioxidant properties and strong health benefits for humans.
This is confirmed by a recent meta-analysis of 45 studies, which shows that high consumption of Evo oil reduces the development of tumors of any kind by 31%.
The aim of this meta-analysis was to investigate the link between olive oil consumption, cancer risk and cancer prognosis. The aim was to determine the role of oil intake in cancer prevention and survival.
The researchers found a significant difference between those who regularly consumed extra virgin olive oil and those who did not. In particular, higher olive oil consumption has been linked to a 31% lower risk of developing any type of cancer, from breast cancer to gastrointestinal and especially urinary tract cancer.
To this day, this meta-analysis is invaluable evidence of the positive effects of olive oil on our body and especially on the development of cancer.
